Where do I start? – a free genealogy class

Are you new to genealogy and need help getting started? Do you know someone who would like some direction with their research? Have you hit a brick wall and don’t know what to now?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, Edgar County Genealogical Society may have the answer!

Join us in the historical museum annex on Saturday, October 21, 9:30-11:30am, for Genealogy 101: Where Do I Start? The librarians and members of the Society will share ways to begin your ancestral search. Topics will include popular websites, recommended search styles, software, record-keeping techniques, social media, library resources, helpful charts, and other related topics.
